Hopping from one bulb to another...

Don't forget who made it in the first place

"BTS from Oppenheimer"

"Please stop using BTS to gain likes on your photo. Please stop using our BTS kpop name"

BTS originally means "behind the scenes", and chances are the kpop group comes later than the movies or video recordings or projects.

This reminds me of the FNAF ( leitmotif, which is originally "Toreador" by George Bizet. But when children hear that leitmotif, they will go "hor hor hor hor". From the evolution perspective, this is interesting. But from the author's perspective, it does not feel good when your creation got used and not credited. Thankfully George Bizet is popular enough so he is still noticed and documented, things are not so lucky for the rest of us.

This also reminds me a lot of popular things reusing a lot of popular creations.

"7 Rings" using "Favourite Things" from "Sound of Music", "I'm Good" using "I'm Blue", "Confessions of a Rotten Girl" using "Beethoven Virus". I am fine with a piece using another piece but the crucial part is to credit the original author.

For all of the remix I have created, I always credit the original author, no matter if he/she is popular or not, to me it is one of the fundamental rules to pay respect.

Have you used any creations from others ? Who is the original creator ? Where and how did you use their creations ?
