Modification Characters

These fundamental symbols are radicals of some of the grammatical words that we will tackle in future chapters, but just these symbols themselves are not enough.

In this case, a / a few Modification Character(s) is/are required to attach more information onto the word.

When a group of modification characters are used with a radical, the whole pronunciation of the word should be "Radical - Modification0 - Modification1 - ... - ModificationN".

Sometimes, a modification character alone with it's radical can be interpreted in a meaningful way, and thus can be pronounced as "Radical - self".

Charracteristic Segment pronounciation

In the chapters, when specifying how is a modification character should be pronounced, the radical pronunciation will be white and the self pronunciation will be yellow.
